Nomex IIIA fabric is an internationally renowned essential flame retardant and anti-static material, its composition contains 93% of Nomex, 5% of Kevlar and 2% of P140 anti-static fibres. The strength of Kevlar is about three times that of steel wire, so Kevlar is often used in ballistic protection and aerospace materials; P140 has excellent performance in preventing static electricity and dissipating static electricity. 1. Made from DuPont's Nomex series of fibres, it is permanently flame resistant and will not melt, burn or drip when exposed to high temperatures; when exposed to high temperatures, it rapidly carbonises, thickens the fabric and becomes finer in density, forming a unique thermal barrier.
